An iconic building in the style of Mies van der Rohe
A subtle frame and a transparent glass case. These are the main attributes of the glass and steel office buildings designed by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. His handwriting also inspired the first Czech skyscraper.
The timeless look of this high-rise building, with its glass facade and fascinating panoramic views, was designed in the 1970s by the architect Zdeněk Kuna. In so doing, he brought about the beginnings of progressive construction in Pankrác Central Square.
In the new millennium, the skyscraper underwent a demanding reconstruction and was named City Empiria. The tower with its 27 floors has a breathtaking genius loci. It offers prestigious spaces in an unmistakable functionalist style that no other contemporary office complex can provide.
